Hi.  I’m Jodi Kirkwood and just like you, I wear many hats every day.

First and foremost, I’m a mom.  And as a very close second, I’m a wife and as yet another “very close” third, I’m a darn good web designer.  There I said it.  Whew!

I love what I do and over the past 11 years, I have had the enormous pleasure of working with some of the most creative, successful real estate brokers in the entire country, from all 4 corners, from every real estate niche possible. They have trusted me with one of their most precious assets, that of their “brand image”.

Together, we listen to each other and map out the strategy and execution step by step.  I get to know your business and “style”, as well as your client audience intimately, while I work to educate you on how your beautifully designed site is much more than just “beauty”, but rather a living “call-to-action” tool that helps you find the right customers for your business and gets them to want to communicate with you.

So, who is “Jackson Taylor”? Well, to be honest, this name was literally born about 5 years ago when I went on maternity leave with my first child, Jackson Hess. We had 2 names picked out – Jackson Hess for a boy and Taylor Grace for a girl. After taking one look at my son, I decided I was going to stay home with him and I needed a plan. That’s when the name was born:  Jackson Taylor Design. We knew we wanted another child and Taylor worked either way, boy or girl. Three years later, Miss Taylor Grace came along to complete our little family.

As a little more background, I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, in a great place called Germantown. I moved to California in ‘92 to attend the Art Institute of Southern California, which is now called the Laguna Beach College of Art & Design, from which I graduated in 1996. I worked straight out of college with some of the best web development firms when the Internet was still in its infancy and a fairly unsure bet.

Since those early pioneering days, I’ve performed every position possible in web development, from production art, to building and managing large design teams. I have wrangled with many different types of clients and now, I am finally in a place where I truly have the luxury of doing what I love to do each and every day – and that is, to create beautiful, profitable, custom web sites with the latest and greatest technology on the market. After my experience at Z57, one of the best, if not THE best, web development companies to work for in San Diego, I had more than enough expertise and skill to take my experience in sales and particularly, real estate, and find a niche that I truly loved:  beautiful custom design that performs and gets my clients the leads that they are so eagerly seeking!

As we all know, nothing of greatness if ever achieved alone and therefore, I want to also give credit to my great team!  I am very fortunate to be surrounded by talented people with the same love for what they do and the same passion for finding great clients and helping them achieve their goals.  There are many skills needed when creating a web “presence” these days and design is only part of the picture.  I also have multimedia experts, copywriters, search engine optimization experts, as well as advanced programmers for the really “tough stuff”.  I’m so proud of my team and how well we all work together with our clients creating a true win-win for everyone.

So, what’s in a name?   Well, for me, it is a constant reminder of my first love and priority, which is my family.
