Well, it’s been an interesting morning, to say the least! In the very early morning hours this email was sent FROM my gmail account:

Subject: My Plight !!!
I’m writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I came down here to North Wales, United Kingdom for a short vacation. unfortunately,we were  mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed,all cash and credit card were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.

We’ve been to the Embassy and the Police here but they’re not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in few hours from now but we’re having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won’t let us leave until we settle the bills. Well I really need your financial assistance..Please, Let me know if you can help us out?

Am freaked out at the moment!!

WOW  – Can you believe this??? So, those of you who know me, know that that IS my email address and MY signature. They accessed it through my Facebook account and got my gmail account and passwords and proceeded to steal my ENTIRE address book and send this mail out. I am NOT in Wales, I DID NOT get mugged. I apologize for the alarming email, simply delete the message. Everybody, take 5 minutes, change your passwords and make them a little more difficult to guess. Lessons learned. : (
